Collaboration

Luke and I worked on a page together on Sunday. He cut the circles, pasted them where he wanted and I helped along the way.

Geez - been ages

So, believe it not, this is the latest. Been ages, but these are all I have to show for the time. Simple pages, inspired by others. Severine in particular - cause she rocks.

Ok, I give up

I've learned that I don't usually go back and mess with pages that I wasn't happy with in the end. That's the case with this one that I did on my birthday. I'll post it cause I know I'm not going to mess with it anymore. I may scrap that picture again, but I'm done with this so-so page.

Vacation over

It's already over and I've only got 2 pages to show for it.

Paper pages

These paper scans are cut at the bottom - but at least they're up here!
I've always wanted to do birthday pages for Luke's b-days, but I believe this is the first one I've actually completed. The section at the bottom is a pocket that has the invitation, the list of gifts received and the receipt for the party. I can't wait to see if is 30 years we're going to think - geez, that was CHEAP! An enormous thanks once again to Luke's Nana who made it all possible.

Tonight's page. I've been working every night and needed a break.

Ski Day

We went all over yesterday looking for skis. Luke didn't get any, but Fred did. So we had to hit the slopes today - and we did - despite the conditions. It was rough, but totally worth it. Here's the journalling (sorry for the caps): SKI SEASON HAS BEGUN AND YOUR DAD WAS FEELING THE PRESSURE TO GET YOU ON SOME SKIS. WE SPENT YESTERDAY GOING FROM SHOP TO SHOP CHECKING OUT THE OPTIONS. YOUR DAD FOUND SOME SKIS, BUT YOU CAME HOME WITH ONLY THE POLES AND THE SHOES. WE DECIDED TO RENT IN ORDER TO SEE HOW YOU GOT ON AND IF YOU LIKED IT BEFORE COMMITTING TO THE SPORT. YOU WERE DISAPPOINTED NOT TO HAVE YOUR OWN, BUT THE SHOES MADE FOR SOME GOOD FUN. THE FORECAST WASN’T GOOD WHEN WE LEFT, BUT A REPORT ON THE RADIO GAVE US SOME HOPE. ONCE WE WERE UP THOUGH, IT WAS CLEAR WE WERE IN FOR A COLD, WINDY, SNOWY TIME. WE ALMOST TURNED AROUND AND WENT BACK HOME BEFORE GETTING OUT OF THE CAR. YOUR DAD REALIZED HE’D FORGOTTEN HIS COAT HALF WAY UP THE MOUNTAIN AND WE WEREN’T SURE HE WAS GOING TO LAST LONG. BUT YOU WERE GUNG-HO AND WE REALIZED WE WEREN’T GOING TO BE ABLE TO RETURN HOME WITHOUT GETTING YOU ON SOME SKIS. WE SET OFF TO HOOK YOU UP. AND YOU TOTALLY ROCKED!!! YOU CAUGHT ON STRAIGHT AWAY AND WERE ALL FOR HAVING ANOTHER GO ONCE YOU GOT TO THE BOTTOM. I TOLD YOU THAT WE’D BUY YOU YOUR OWN SKIS IF YOU DECIDED AFTER YOU HAD TRIED IT THAT YOU LIKED IT. THE FIRST THING YOU SAID TO ME AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR FIRST RUN WAS: “SEE MAMAN, I LIKE THE SKI. SO WE CAN BUY IT...THE SKIS FOR ME?” WHAT COULD I SAY? YOUR DAD WAS AMAZED, AND RELIEVED. YOU CRIED WHEN WE SAID WE HAD TO GIVE THE SKIS BACK. ONLY A PROMISE TO STOP BY THE GAS STATION SO YOU COULD PICK OUT A PIECE OF CANDY GOT YOU MOVING TOWARDS THE CAR. THAT AND A PROMISE TO LOOK FOR YOUR OWN PAIR OF SKIS AND TO RETURN TO THE SLOPES VERY SOON.
