Friends

I'm still on the paper kick. I have just no time these days so it's amazing that I got this finished. Leaving for China in just 1 week!

Taking it easy

So I found some cool stuff from Vinnie Pearce and Designer Digitals. The stuff is free and this is practically a cut and paste of what's on offer. Just added my pictures and text and voila. Too cool.

Nothing special

Been ages, but it's good to be back. As always, I set out to do one thing and I end up doing another. Thanks to Vinnie Pearce for the kit and the layout. Yes, it's a blatent lift, but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Recycling

My recent paper pages, using Manue's scraps. Merci pour les "dechets" - ca me motive a faire quelques vraies pages ;-) And I know, I've reused the picture of Luke since I like it so much. Thing about digital is that I can stick in a different picture when I get another that would work just as well...

I wanted to finish this page tonight, so I'm done with it. No more messing around. Time for bed.
And, in memory of our late winter.

Out like a light

Luke and Fred had a big morning in the snow. I came home at lunch to take over the babysitting since the sitter is off this week. Luke fell asleep on the way home from the store this afternoon and he's been sleeping ever since. It is now 8:30pm and he's been in bed since 4:30pm. Fingers crossed he'll go the night.

But it's all good for me. I got a few pages done. I 'll probably need to do another page with the rest of the Easter pictures, but this is for Luke's album. The background makes you think of chocolate, huh?
And this is one from an inspiration I got on the train this morning...
And finally, the number 1 game these days: hide and seek.

Believe it or not

You wouldn't know it, but I've made great progress these last few days. I've only got this digital one to post, but there are 2 paper pages that need scanning and I've got about 4 others that are partly done. I'm going to have to get to Scrapdeco soon so I can finish 'em up. This picture was taken at Signal de Bougy weekend before last. We had such a great time, but Luke was all tears when it came time to leave.

Hommage to Scrapdeco

You would think these were quick ones. I've been at them for 2 and a half hours. So I love the first one. Looks like an ad, kind of piques one's interest to come and have a look. And I think that's Severine in black - the Swiss Superstar Queen of Clean and Simple. And I like the simplicity of the second one. I'm thinking to make this into a 2-page layout, but the white is too harsh and doesn't flow well when put next to the first. So, I'm gonna have to re-work the second one just a bit to make it fit. But not tonight.

Digital Pages

As promised, here they are. I caught up with making Chicken Satay last night till 11PM (!!!) so I didn't get back to do this until this morning. I just noticed the typo.... GEEZ!!! Off to fix that. Luke sees us all the time with the camera and wants a piece of the action...
This was a template that I bought. Layout was already made up. I just added the picture, the little brads, the text and decided on the papers. Easy-peasy.

Paper Pages

I got my pictures from the Coop today and finished these. It was good to do the paper thing today. Encore un grand merci a Manue pour ce kit:
I've got digital ones to post too so I'll be back later with those.

March 5th

I'm giving up on this one now. It's still missing some interest, but it's too late and I now want to move on. Crazy how I can agonize for hours over this, and that... Just can't decide. I've wanted to do the subject of this page for long time. Fred coined this saying and Luke totally picked up and ran with it. He doesn't say it much anymore, but he used to say it all the time. And over and over and over. It translates to "The trees are "screwed", they're sick!" Doesn't work so well in English.

Aaarrrrggghh!

I'm so pleased with the way this came out. Just wish I didn't have that goofy grin/clenched-teeth look on my face. The journaling at the bottom reads: "The wonders of some face paint, minor props and some imagination.". As always, I think I'm going to now go back and change the text a bit. I've had second thoughts. But I'm done with this now. Took me 4 hours - mostly looking around for "piraty" stuff."
Picture taken in Feb '08, in Signal de Bougy. Our hopping playground spot.

Re-post of previous pages

I'm persisting with the Paris album. I've deleted the previous pages and added them back in the 2 page layout since they go together.

Still trucking

Not the most blow-me away pages today, but it kept me occupied. For those of you are friends with Fred on Facebook, you'll recognize this:

Ok, well that one might blow your mind a little.
Taking it back to simplier times, one from Christmas 2006 when my parents came to visit:

And I've wrapped up the evening with this one:

Today's pages

So, there was a picture of Fred here, but I've taken it down. He was too embarrassed... So, now there's just this one:

A couple more

Remembering Valentine's Day.

Clean and simple is the word these days. I saw a tutorial on the CreatingKeepsakes website that talks about using the burn tool, so I played around with this. I'm going to have to re-do the page cause I was kind of messy with my editing, but it's such a great picture.

And some oldies, while I'm at it:

It's Raining, It's Pouring...Luke's going OUT!

Fred's creation. I'm going to have to have to see about getting him his own blog now.

Up and running

So here we go. Manue raised the bar and so here's my attempt to live up to the challenge. Here's the first page I'm going to post. Fresh from last night, after a weekend with the SIL and kids.
